The Upper School Girls' Residence Hall creates a perfect balance between independence and community, safety and freedom, fun and a quiet study environment. Dormitory rooms are arranged in pairs with connected baths, and every floor has a common room or reception area for recreation, group study, and dormitory activities. Students have needed privacy and many spaces reserved for community, allowing them time alone as well as time with their peers. The hall itself is locked at all times, and residents are carefully monitored to assure adherence to dormitory policies and guidelines. Resident faculty on duty provide supervision and support to students, and weekend excursions and activities allow them to explore the surrounding Bloomfield Hills and Birmingham areas.

Like the rest of Kingswood, every room in the residence hall is designed and decorated to inspire and stimulate its inhabitants. As such, girls live here among finely woven tapestries, hand-carved doors, and leaded glass windows, respecting and cherishing the building as they would their home. Every room offers its own unique view of the campus, with windows facing Kingswood Lake, interior courtyards, exquisite sculptures, and fine architectural details. Kingswood is a truly beautiful place to live.
