From the west end of the circle drive, enter the door on the left under the portico to access the Green Lobby. Pass through the lobby, and then enter the courtyard via the glass doors to the right of the stairs. The Alumnae Court can also be accessed from Kingswood Lake by ascending the stairway to the right of Wenger Gymnasium.
Visitors during school hours should first check in with the Dean's office in the Green Lobby. Upon entering the Green Lobby, the Dean's office is the first window on the left.
The Alumnae Court provides a beautiful view of Kingswood Lake and an outdoor entrance to Wenger Gymnasium. The tradition of inscribing the names of each graduating girl on a plaque that hangs at Kingswood is as old as the school. After 1972, every wall of the Rose Lobby had been filled, and the plaques for all following years line the walls of this courtyard, giving the space its name.
At the center of the Alumnae Court is a bronze Marshall Fredericks sculpture called Two Sisters. The sculpture is installed in a circular fountain that gurgles quietly and can be heard in the adjacent classrooms. A pathway behind the sculpture leads down to the north shore of Kingswood Lake and the Carl Milles 1913 sculpture Dancing Girls.
