The Evans streetcar was essential to DU medical, dental and business students who had to traverse between the downtown campus and university park. The streetcar went down Evans to Pearl street, then Pearl Street to Alameda, and lastly Alameda and to Broadway. Students would visit numerous local shops along the way like Doc's, the Pie Shop, and the Denver Golden Eagle Department store.
