        1. Evans Chapel

Evans Memorial Chapel is one of the University of Denver's most beloved landmarks. University of Denver founder John Evans built the small chapel in 1878 to honor his daughter Josephine who had passed away a decade earlier.  The chapel was an addition to Grace Methodist Episcopal Church on 13th and Bannock streets in downtown Denver. In 1958, the church moved to a new home at a different location and the chapel faced deomolition. The University of Denver purchased the chapel, disassembled it brick by brick and then reassembled in the center of DU's campus.

Used as a place of worship by religious organizations on campus still today, it's a favorite wedding site for University alumni and students.
