Limited visitor parking is available at 652 Cranbrook Road, with overflow parking in the Thornlea lot, or, for large events, at Christ Church Cranbrook.
All visitors must check in at the Brookside Main Office. Walk south on Cranbrook Road and make a left into the 550 Cranbrook Road parking lot to enter the front doors to Brookside below the tower. The Office is the second door on the left, just before the staircase leading down.
From the main office, go down the staircase and continue straight ahead through the double doors to the gymnasium.
Over the course of a school day, it is essential that children stay active. Physical education provides a much-needed energy boost to students and is also concerned with the development of each child’s motor skills and coordination. The gymnasium was built for this purpose in the 1960s and dedicated to Jessie T. Winter, the very first headmistress of Brookside School, in honor of her many years of service. In addition to gym classes and after-school activities, the gymnasium is sometimes used for students’ performances and as part of the annual Brookside fundraiser Kaleidoscope.
