When parked in the 652 Cranbrook Road lot, walk down the sidewalk on Cranbrook Road past the Hedgegate apartments on the left and make a left into the 550 Cranbrook Road parking lot to enter the front doors to Brookside below the tower. The office is the second door on the left, just before the staircase leading down.

From the front doors, turn right and follow the hallway past the Jock Denio Library. The dining room is on the right, at the bottom of the steps and ramp.

The Brookside Dining Room is off a narrow hallway dotted by patches of light that burst through colorful stained glass windows. The room itself is a testament to Henry S. Booth, son of Cranbrook’s founders George and Ellen Booth and architect for many of Brookside’s additions and renovations over the years. Henry Booth kept the young spirit of Brookside School alive. On the north wall of the room is a portrait of Booth late in his life beneath a clock that urges students to “Look to the bees and follow.” Around the top of the room is inscribed Booth’s vision for the busy bees of Brookside: “We hope bees are appropriate symbols, for they not only seek what is beautiful, sweet, and nourishing but make enough honey to satisfy the needs of many others as well as their own.”
