For the health of our community, Alfred State has been smoke-free since July 1, 2011.
Smoking is prohibited on campus except in outside designated smoking areas. This policy reduces involuntary exposure of second-hand smoke and facilitates a healthier environment for students, faculty, staff, administrators, visitors, and community members.
If you are a smoker, you are encouraged to take advantage of New York’s smoking cessation programsto help you to quit smoking. Employee Assistance Program (EAP) also offers self-help resources for Alfred State employees. Students who need help quitting may get assistance from the Health Services Office on campus.
Thank you for your cooperation.
