   1. NARCAN Vending (Free)

      1. Oakland Center

         The NARCAN vending machine is immediately visible once entering the west entrance of the Oakland Center.

         Opioid overdose response supplies are distributed free from the machine to those preparing for or responding to emergency situations.

          

         Overdose Response Instructions:

         1.  Shake at shoulders and shout their name
            
            
         2.  Call 911 if unresponsive.
            
         3. Naloxone Spray – Peel the seal, place in 1 nostril, give 1 spray
            
            
         4.  Check breathing:
            
            If no improvement after 2 minutes, give 2nd dose of naloxone
            
            If not breathing, continue CPR
            
            
         5. Is it working?
            
            YES - put in recovery position:
            
            Lay person on their side
            
            Place their top hand under their head
            
            Place their top knee in front of them
            
            NO - give CPR
