Land of Fire and Ice: Exploring Iceland

Students will explore the unique landscapes of western Iceland and learn how the landscape has influenced the lives and culture of the Icelandic people. Through this course, students will be exposed to the geology, history, and culture of Iceland and learn how the Icelandic people work to live sustainably with the land. Through our travels, students will have a chance to see firsthand how Iceland’s dramatic landscapes have shaped its history, culture, and approaches to sustainability.
