    1. Father O'Connell Hall

      Welcome to The Catholic University of America and to the Campus Highlights Virtual Tour!


      This is Father O’Connell Hall, home of the University’s Enrollment Management Center. In this building you will find the offices of Admissions, Financial Aid, Enrollment Services, Student Housing and the Office of Alumni Relations.

    2. Mullen Library

      Formally known as the John K. Mullen of Denver Memorial Library, Mullen is the main library on campus. It is the heart of research on campus. Hundreds of students gather daily to do homework, study, do research, write their papers, or use the computer lounge.


      With more than 1.3 million volumes, tens of thousands of electronic journals and books, and being a partner of the Washington Research Library Consortium (WRLC) Mullen offers its community a great library system.

    3. McMahon Hall

      McMahon Hall is one of our oldest buildings. Dedicated in 1889 by Cardinal James Gibbons of Baltimore, McMahon Hall serves as the home of the Office of the Provost, the Center for Global Education, the International Students and Scholar Services Center, the Office of Undergraduate Studies, the Office of Graduate Studies, the Office for Teaching and Learning, the Honors Program, the Institute for Policy Research and Catholic Studies.


      McMahon's size makes it possible to also host the School of Arts and Sciences with its departments of Greek and Latin, as well as Modern Languages and Literatures; the School of Business and Economics; and the CUA Post Office.

    4. Caldwell Hall

      This is our oldest building on campus. Caldwell Hall is known for its white Beaux-Arts-style interior and dramatic stained-glass windows, and for its beautiful chapel. Caldwell is the home of the School of Theology and Religious Studies, the School of Canon Law, and the Office of Campus Ministry.


      Caldwell Hall also contains two residential areas known as Caldwell and Seton, which offer traditional single and double rooms with shared bathrooms in hallways.

    5. Centennial Village

      Centennial Village is made up of eight residential houses surrounding Conte Circle, a common grassy area and a multi-use sport court. Centennial Village is home to Camalier, Engelhard, Magner, McDonald, Quinn, Reardon, Unanue, and Walton houses. Walton and McDonald Houses are home to the Honors Residential College, while Camalier and Reardon Houses are home to the new Global Village Community.

    6. Kane Fitness Center and Basketball Court

      The Kane Student Fitness Center is located central to residential housing. Maintaining a healthy lifestyle was never so easy and fun. The Fitness Center offers classes in abs, glutes, cycling, yin and gentle yoga, zumba, and personal training. It also offers a number of recreational items available for use, including mountain bikes, bocce ball, Wii-Fit, ping pong, golf, and volleyball.

       

      The Kane Center offers a variety of indoor and outdoor excursions, called Cardinal Adventures for those who love being active. These outings provide an excellent opportunity for students to experience a new activity and enjoy a fun get-away with other students and staff.


      Student Health Services also is located here. Students with health-related issues are treated in this facility throughout the week.

    7. DuFour Center

      Go Cardinals!

       

      The DuFour Center is the home of the Cardinals. It is composed of a 2,000-seat main arena; a competition pool with separate warm-down pool and moveable bulkhead; weight room; athletic training room; fully equipped locker rooms with saunas; batting cages; three racquetball/handball courts; an indoor track; meeting rooms; the CUA Athletics Hall of Fame; and the offices for athletic department personnel.

       

      On the outside we can find an outdoor track, tennis courts, and five athletic fields for soccer, softball, baseball, lacrosse, field hockey and football.

    8. Columbus School of Law

      Home of the CUA School of Law, this facility contains classrooms, a law library, two full courtrooms, a community legal services center, administrative and faculty offices, a kitchen and dining area, and an underground parking garage.

       

      The Columbus School of Law building also is home to the Department of Library and Information Science, which offers master's degrees in library science and in health information technology, and post-master's continuing education.

    9. Edward J. Pryzbyla University Center

      "The Pryz" is the main hub for student life on campus. Want a Starbucks? Go to the Pryz. Need some help with a paper or are you struggling in a class? Go to the Writing Center and to the Center for Academic Success in the Pryz. Feeling hungry? Visit the dining facilities, the food market or the food court at the Pryz.

       

      The Pryz is like the living room of CUA. It hosts student organizations, lounge spaces, meeting rooms. It provides space for student fundraisers and information tables.


      The Great Room of the Pryz is where many of the University's biggest events are held, including conferences, major lectures, student fairs, and University parties. The biggest of all Great Room events was in 2008 when Pope Benedict XVI came to The Catholic University of America to speak to Catholic educators.

       

      For events too big to hold inside, the patio and west lawn of the Pryz are used. Fall Fiesta and Luaupalooza are two of the many student events over the course of the school year that happen on the Pryz patio and lawn.

    10. Monroe Street Market and CUA Bookstore

      Monroe Street Market is a new place to explore, to try new things, to share new experiences. Being just across the street from our campus, and, just a few steps away from the CUA Brookland Metro Station, Monroe Street Market offers a new dynamic place for our community.

       

      In this area we can find the University's bookstore, Barnes & Noble @ The Catholic University of America, eclectic dining, such as &pizza, Potbelly's, Busboys and Poets, Brookland Pint, cafés like Filter Coffeehouse and the cafeteria of our bookstore that offers Starbucks coffee, snacks, and convenient meals to go.
