Location: The Bobcat Statue is located on the Quad between the Taylor-Murphy History building and the Comal building.

The statue was dedicated on October 18, 2008 before that year's Homecoming game. The bronze statue was commissioned by the Associated Student Government and created by noted sculptor Matthew Palmer of Friday Harbor, Washington.

The university adopted the bobcat as its mascot in 1921. The bobcat, known for its fierceness and courage, was recommended by a committee formed to raise school spirit.
