"One of a Kind" is a reimagination of our Texas State University star conceived by artist Miranda Terry, a 2019 studio art graduate. She and artist Onix Rodriguez, a 2018 studio art graduate, led the mural installation.
The mural's diamond patterns symbolize how the many facets of our university — students, faculty, staff and alumni — come together to form a shining symbol of our pride and strength. The vibrant hues that blend to create our signature colors also reflect how our inclusive spirit and bold creativity enrich the Texas State legacy.
