Doug’s gargoyle overlooks Akin Common from Saperstein Hall. Throughout his 41 year tenure, Doug taught every level of Upper School math. Doug also enjoyed an impressive coaching career at Hackley including varsity girls’ soccer, boys’ basketball, and golf. Those who worked with Doug know that there are certain “Doug-isms” that carry special meaning for his students and our community — “It’s good to know stuff” being one of the most popular.
