Wells Hall is named after Clyde H. Wells '38 and was constructed in 1989. Mr. Wells died in 1987. He was a rancher. He served as a member of the Texas A&M System Board of Regents for nearly 25 years including 12 years as Chair of the Board. In 1967, Mr. Wells was named "Man of the Year in Texas Agriculture" by the Texas County Agricultural Agents Association. He was active in land development and banking.

Modular style halls feature rooms with a private bathroom shared by two roommates. "The Mods" offer a small close-knit community feel while still offering easy access to our campus hubs on both the Northside and Southside of campus.
