T-Anchor Ranch Headquarters built in 1877 by Leigh R. Dyer, one of the area’s first farmers. Known as the oldest house in the Texas Panhandle, Dyer built the shelter with logs from Palo Duro Canyon, and it became known as the center of ranching and development.
