Georgia O'Keeffe Marker
Georgia O’Keeffe, world-renowned artist, 1887-1986. Attracted to “the openness, the dry landscape, the beauty of that wild world,” O’Keeffe taught at West Texas State Normal College in 1916. Her Texas, nature pieces were shown at Alfred Stieglitz’s NYC gallery in 1917, and her work remains a major influence in American art.
