Located in Bixby Plaza outside Frary Dining Hall and Norton-Clark III residence halls, the Smith Memorial Tower offers a beautiful focal point against the nearby mountains. Built in 1961, the 125-foot tower houses a 2,350-pound replica of the Liberty Bell in Independence Hall, Philadelphia, which rings, suitably, at 47 minutes past the hour.
