The open-air Sontag Greek Theatre, nestled in the outdoor wooded splendor of The Wash, east of Seaver Theatre and the Studio Art Hall, is a gathering place that can accommodate anywhere from 600 to 2,000 people in its permanent seating and large lawn area. It was built in 1914 and renovated in 1996-7.
