    1. Organic Farm

Started by students in 1998 with just a few fruit trees in an empty field in The Wash and officially incorporated into the Environmental Analysis Program in 2005, the Pomona College Organic Farm is a labor of love for students, an academic resource and hands-on classroom, and community gathering place and resource. The 1.1-acre farm is split into two halves and has more than 200 fruit trees, many chickens, a few beehives, the campus composting system, the Earth Dome, a greenhouse, dozens of plots, and more 50 production-oriented crop rows.
