    1. North Woods

Some 155 acres of mixed hardwood forest for study, research, and recreation. Among the largest campus-contiguous woodlands of any northeastern college; home to several rare-in-the-state plant species and an important stopover for migrating birds. Other Skidmore woodlands include 200 acres behind its stables, and a recently donated 200-acre parcel off campus.
