    1. Diamond at Dix

The Kent State softball field underwent major changes in 2004 and is now one of the premier softball venues in the Mid-American Conference. Since opening in 1999, Kent State has won over 70 percent of its home games at the facility.

The "Diamond at Dix" includes new dugouts for the home and visiting teams, a new, spacious press box with a state-of-the-art sound system, a camera bay and new bleachers seating more than 500 spectators. A new scoreboard in center field was added in 2008.

The stadium also features improved bullpens and new batting cages. The playing surface features an all dirt infield and natural grass outfield.

One of the highlights of the "Diamond at Dix" is the angled outfield fence, making the dimensions deeper in the power alleys and provides a marked contrast from the symmetrical parks found at most college softball fields.
