Accelerate, our Innovation + Entrepreneurship Center, helps students turn their big ideas into the next big thing. Launched in May 2012, over 200 students have participated so far as part of interdisciplinary teams generating more than 80 ideas. Students attend workshops around innovation and entrepreneurship topics, as well as meet with alumni and professionals from Boston's well-established innovation community, to network and receive mentoring. Fifteen different teams have been funded for $77,000 to push their ideas forward. Accelerate will be expanding to include a social innovation lab to hatch product and technology innovations that impact communities and individual lives.
