Commissioned by Mother Adelaide, this bronze statue reminds us of the time when St. Francis brought understanding between the townspeople of Gubbio, Italy and the wolf who was menacing the town. It is an example of Francis as a peacemaker and is the founding basis for Lourdes University?s mascot ? Gubi.
