    1. John Aird Centre (A)

The John Aird Centre is home to Laurier's Faculty of Music which has between 350-400 students. The size of our Faculty provides students ready access to our instructors while still being large enough to offer outstanding performance and research opportunities.

This building houses the Maureen Forester Recital Hall, Theatre Auditorium, as well as classrooms and practice spaces. Our Maureen Forrester Recital Hall seats 320 people and hosts close to 300 productions each year. The majority of staffing in our Recital Hall is comprised of current undergraduate students.

The generous scope of our Bachelor of Music program allows for a Performance specialization, which provides a strong base for those who wish to become professional performers, while our Music Theory, Music Education, Music History, Comprehensive and Composition/Contemporary Music specializations establish a secure knowledge from which you can build an innovative career.

Our Bachelor of Music Therapy program, the only one in Ontario, teaches you the musical and therapeutic process for a variety of client populations.

In 2013, Laurier was named Canada's Best Music Campus by CBC Radio.
