    1. Water Filtration Plant

Berry's water system was a gift from Henry Ford in 1928. The reservoir enabled the campus to be completely self-sufficient with ample water supply. The water-treatment plant was built by B.M. Hall and sons of Atlanta. Piping was donated by the American Cast Iron Co., of Birmingham, Ala. The Hall Company also built the dam with the aid of steam shovels donated by Mr. Ford. Later, Mr. Grady Hamrick and some of his students added some layers of earth to heighten the dam. The reservoir is not open to the public.
