    1. Roosevelt Cabin

Roosevelt Cabin is one of the oldest buildings on the main campus. Martha Berry lived in the cabin for four years. In the early days, the cabin was the heart of the campus. It caught the overflow from the small school kitchen in Brewster Hall. There was usually a large black iron pot of beans boiling on one fireplace and potatoes roasting in a bed of coals on another. Daily prayer services were also held at the cabin, and Ms. Berry taught Sunday school here.
