Emily Cottage was called Elmwood when first constructed near the Ford Buildings in 1916. Later, it was moved to its present site, remodeled as a guest cottage and re-christened, ‘Emily.’ Henry Ford was a guest in Emily Cottage.
Emily Cottage is now part of the Service Cottages Program. Each cottage has its own unique service project, where they aim to satisfy a need in the Rome community.
