    Stops

    1. Rinker Building - Admissions

Welcome to Rollins! On behalf of the Office of Admission, we would like to thank you for visiting our beautiful home. If you have questions after your self-guided tour, please stop by the first floor of the Rinker Building or give us a call at (407) 646-2161 and we would be happy to answer those for you! The Office of Admission is open Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

    2. Ward Hall

Ward Hall is one of our first-year residential halls. The majority of our undergraduate students live on campus, and new students are required to live on campus for their first three years unless they reside with a parent or legal guardian within 50 miles of campus. All of our residential halls are locked 24/7, and students use their student ID to access the buildings and their individual rooms. Every residential hall also has free laundry, free cable and Wi-Fi, common spaces, a kitchen, and residential assistants on duty. Floors and wings are separated by gender, and students only share a bathroom with other students in their wing. First-years will most likely live with roommates while upperclassmen can choose to live in a single, double, triple, suite, or apartment.

    3. Olin Library

The Olin Library is open 24/7 and provides students with several resources, including 300,000 books and periodicals, thousands of online peer-reviewed scholarly sources, interlibrary loans, a tutoring and writing center, IT, help desk, Mac and PC labs, regular and 3-D printers, electronic device rentals (laptops, video cameras, etc.), individual study rooms, quiet floors, a pillow room, and cafe. Students can also reach out to our research librarians for additional assistance. Our Office of Accessibility Services is also located in Olin.

    4. Lake Virgina

Lake Virginia is home to our sailing and waterskiing teams. Our mascot is a Tar, which is a nickname for a British sailor. Students can rent sailboats and canoes for free from our on-campus boathouse, catch some rays while studying on the white-sand beach, and go for a walk, run, or bike ride along the tree-canopied trail.

    5. Alfond Swimming Pool

The Alfond Swimming Pool is open to students whenever the swim team is not practicing. The pool is heated for winter use and cooled for summer swimming, and there is always a lifeguard on duty. The pool is also a great spot for students to take scuba diving lessons.

    6. Cornell Campus Center

Hungry? Head to the Cornell Campus Center, home to our main dining hall, pub-style eatery, and convenience store. Upstairs, you’ll find Skillman Dining Hall, which recently underwent a $2.4 million renovation. Students pay a flat rate for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and have access to an all-you-can-eat buffet. Vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, and allergy-sensitive stations are always available. Head downstairs to explore Dave’s Boathouse, our nautical-themed pub-style eatery, which serves everything from salads and sandwiches to made-to-order sushi. Dave’s is open from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. and is the perfect spot for students, faculty, and staff to connect in a casual setting. Every week, this dining venue hosts a trivia night along with other fun events such as open-mic and movie nights. The C-Store is our convenience store where students can purchase groceries via their meal plan and special-order any items they can’t find on campus.

    7. Kathleen W. Rollins Hall

Located at the center of campus and at the heart of our mission, the new Kathleen W. Rollins Hall brings together 10 curricular and co-curricular programs in an environment that encourages interdisciplinary collaboration. The state-of-the-art facility is home to the Center for Career & Life Planning, the Center for Leadership & Community Engagement, the Center for Global Initiatives, our student-run newspaper and radio station, and much more. From career-defining internships to life-changing study abroad experiences, Rollins Hall provides students myriad opportunities to put their education to work in the world and hone their 21st-century skills through real-world experience. 8. Mills Lawn

Most days, you’ll find groups of students studying and playing sports such as ultimate frisbee and quidditch on this idyllic stretch of green. Mills Lawn is ringed by Rollins’ Walk of Fame, a collection of more than 500 stones engraved with the names of prominent figures, from Aristotle and Abraham Lincoln to our own Fred Rogers ’51.

    9. Lakeside Neighborhood

Get a sneak peek at the Lakeside Neighborhood, a 250,000-square-foot residential community along the southeastern shoreline of campus. Each of the neighborhood’s 124 units will be anchored by a well-appointed shared living space, including a furnished living room, a full kitchen with stainless-steel appliances, and a washer and dryer. While the residential units will offer students more independent living options than ever before, much of the neighborhood is intended to facilitate the relational learning that’s so essential to a 21st-century education. From a sprawling open-concept lounge and poolside study spots to tree-canopied outdoor meeting areas, students will have ample space to develop their creative problem-solving skills and collaborative teamwork in partnership with their classmates and professors. Learn more at rollins.college/lakeside.

    10. Pinehurst Cottage

Pinehurst Cottage was built in 1886, making it the oldest building on campus. Over the past 130 years, Pinehurst has been everything from the president’s house to the library. Today, it serves as a co-ed residential hall for members of the Pinehurst organization, which focuses on campus, community, and global issues.

    11. Cornell Fine Arts Museum

Free and open to the public, the Cornell Fine Arts Museum (CFAM) is the only teaching museum in Orlando and showcases both professional and student artwork. CFAM’s extensive collection comprises more than 5,500 works, including the only European Old Masters collection in the Orlando area, a sizable American art collection, and the Alfond Collection of Contemporary Art, on display at both the museum and The Alfond Inn. The museum’s exhibitions change seasonally and feature art for all tastes, from the early Renaissance to cutting-edge contemporary.

    12. Alfond Sports Center

The Alfond Sports Center is home to many of Rollins’ 23 varsity sports and club and intramural teams. Most of our teams are NCAA Division II and compete in the Sunshine State Conference. Student-athletes have access to their own workout facility and a physical therapist on campus. Meanwhile, all students can stay fit at Daryl’s Fitness Center, which is equipped with a wide range of free weights and exercise machines and is open from early in the morning to late at night. Students can also take an array of free fitness classes such as yoga, abs and core, and barre throughout the week. Most of the coaches’ offices are also housed in the sports center.

    13. Crummer Graduate School of Business

Crummer is home to Rollins’ MBA program, which is ranked No. 1 in Florida and among the top 50 in the nation. Undergraduate students have the opportunity to participate in the College’s Accelerated Management Program, which allows them to earn a BA and an MBA in five years.

    14. Bush Science Center

The Bush Science Center is home to the departments of biology, marine biology, chemistry, physics, computer science, psychology, and mathematics. Renovated in 2013, our science center includes a three-story atrium, classrooms, instructional labs, student-faculty lounges, and a cafe. Biologists, chemists, mathematicians, and physicists share office spaces to foster an interdisciplinary environment. The LEED-certified building has two man-made ponds for water filtration and uses recycled water for restrooms. Students also use these lab facilities through our Student-Faculty Collaborative Scholarship Program, which is available to students within any major. While conducting collaborative research, students live on campus for free over the summer, earn a stipend, have their work published in peer-reviewed journals, and present research alongside professors.

    15. Annie Russell Theatre

Built in 1932, the Annie Russell Theatre is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is home to Rollins’ Department of Theatre and Dance. The Annie is the longest-running theater in Central Florida. Students present four theater productions and a dance performance on this stage every year.

    16. Knowles Memorial Chapel

Built in 1932, Knowles Memorial Chapel is home to Rollins’ Religious Life and hosts everything from Bach Festival performances to alumni wedding celebrations. Rollins is non-denominational but offers an interfaith worship space, Christian services, Buddhist meditation, and Jewish and Muslim services. Through worship, study groups, fellowship, and retreats, religious values are enhanced and students are encouraged to grow in their religious understanding and faith.

    17. Tars Plaza

Each spring, this plaza becomes the center of Rollins’ most beloved tradition. On a day deemed too pretty to have class, President Grant Cornwell delivers a fox statue to Tars Plaza, signaling the beginning of Fox Day, a unique holiday in which classes are cancelled and students are given a surprise day off.

    18. Rollins College Bookstore

The Rollins Bookstore supplies everything from textbooks and school supplies to a wide range of Rollins gear. We hope you take a piece of Rollins home with you today.

    19. Park Avenue

Most nights and every weekend, folks from all over Central Florida flock to Park Avenue, Winter Park’s cosmopolitan promenade of world-class shopping, dining, and socializing. For Rollins students, the commute is far shorter. Park Avenue intersects with campus, so everything from hip boutiques and chic cafes to a bustling farmers market and award-winning restaurants are always within a short stroll. Thanks to the Park Avenue train station, downtown Orlando’s myriad internship and entertainment opportunities are just a 15-minute SunRail ride away.
