    1. The Ecology and Sustainability Resource Center (ECOS)

The Ecology and Sustainability Resource Center (ECOS) serves as SOU’s environmental resource center and was founded 1995 by students who recognized the need for a facility that would focus on the ever-changing dynamics of local, national, and global environmental issues. With our student staff, funding, and community connections, we work to create ecologically related projects and initiatives.

Our mission is to educate the SOU student body and greater community about our collective environmental impact. We value environmental stewardship and ecological responsibility, working to facilitate the principles of sustainability both on and off campus.
