Susque Lodge has a long history.  It was originally the first building on Camp Susque's property.  Prior to its current form, it was a farm house that dated back to the 1850s.

When Camp Susque first moved to this current property, it was the only building here, and it originally served as the kitchen, dining hall, infirmary and staff housing for Susque.

As Susque grew and the dining hall was built, Susque Lodge became the home of the Facilities Manager and their family, as well as Susque's infirmary and Laundry facilities.

However, the foundation and structure of the farm house eventually succumbed to age, and Susque made the difficult decision to rebuild instead of repair.  In the early 2000s, a new building was built to replace the farm house.

The new Susque Lodge was built to serve many purposes:

      • Susque Library
      • Infirmary with multiple beds
      • Rental & Retreat housing for 30+ guests
      • Summer Staff Housing
      • School of Discovery Classroom
      • Laundry Facilities
      • Upstairs Lounge with Kitchen
      • 3 Spacious porches
      • Susque Worldview Academy housing

The porches of the new building are a favorite place to relax, and the classroom offers great opportunities for science classes or a meeting room.  The back porch of the second floor is one of the most relaxing places on Susque and it overlooks Lycoming Creek.
