    1. Allen Library

The Mildred P. Allen Memorial Library moved to its new location on the lower level of the Harrison Libraries in 2017. The Allen Library houses reference and circulating materials for students, faculty, and staff of the University in the fields of music and dance. The new space features individual and group study spaces, two seminar rooms with upgraded computer and AV projection equipment, and three soundproofed listening and viewing rooms.

Allen’s holdings include approximately 22,000 books and bound journals, 37,000 scores, more than 22,000 sound recordings (including recordings of Hartt operas, concerts, and recitals), and 700 videocassettes and DVDs. In addition to the sound recordings, thousands of tracks are available online through subscription streaming audio databases. Subscriptions to more than 400 online and print journals allow students and faculty to remain abreast of current research.
