Great Lawn
The Great Lawn is where it all begins: at Opening Days, you’ll celebrate here, meeting your classmates, dancing, playing games, and getting to see all of what Choate has to offer as an incoming student. The Lawn serves as your path to the Paul Mellon Arts Center, Colony Hall, the Science Center, and Information Technology Services, all located on the Upper Campus. And when your career at Choate comes to an end, you’ll march proudly across the Great Lawn once more at Commencement, and visit your classmates here at Reunion. But that’s still in your future. For now, this lush epicenter is the perfect place for a stroll (or, when the snow comes, building a snowman with your friends!).
