         CSUSM has invested in building green, sustainable buildings. The SHCS building is a LEED

         (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Gold Building. 

         Green features of the building include:

         • Sustainable landscaping surrounding the building, including a rock meditation circle at the front of the building
         • Low flow faucets and dual flush toilets in the bathrooms
