The Joan B. Kroc Institute for Peace and Justice occupies the southwest bluff of the campus and as such anchors that end of the academic core buildings. The 92,000 gross square structure consists of two levels of academic and administration space. It features a large formal entry rotunda, an auditorium for three hundred, multi-purpose rooms for conferencing and dining, a large executive conference room, facilities for the School of Peace Studies, eight state of the art classrooms and administrative offices for the departments of history and political science. Two plazas, the Garden of the Sea and the Garden of the Sky, offer a serene place for dinners, receptions and gatherings.
