The Clark Humanities Museum over the years has been actively used as a "teaching" gallery. Each year, faculty and students stage exhibitions, ranging in topics from Japanese prints and illustrated books of the 16th-21st centuries to French garden design of the 18th century to contemporary artists' books. For many exhibitions, students select objects from the permanent collections, organize and install the displays, and write the explanatory labels or brochures.
