McDowell Hall houses sophomores, juniors, seniors, and graduate students in a suite-style room. The suites have two sleeping rooms, a living area, and a bathroom shared with another suite. There are a limited number of two-person suites with two rooms connected by a shared bathroom available. The building is connected to Beall Hall.
