Riddle Refectory CoGen
Installed in 2011, an engine in the Refectory runs on natural gas and feeds a generator which generates electricity for school use. The heat that is generated is recaptured and turned into domestic hot water for school use. In the summer, the heat is captured and is then processed to run the cooling system for the Refectory, adding to Avon's ongoing sustainability efforts.
