    1. Rolvaag Memorial Library (RML)

Completed in 1942 and named in honor of 1905 alumnus Ole Rølvaag, former St. Olaf professor of Norwegian and author of Giants in the Earth, Rølvaag Library is the largest of three libraries on the St. Olaf campus (the others are the Hustad Science Library in Regents Hall and the Halvorson Music Library in Christiansen Hall of Music).

Together the St. Olaf libraries house approximately 420,000 books, 22,000 media items, 5,000 periodical titles, and 18,000 scores.

The second floor of Rølvaag is home to Information Technology (IT), which provides the campus with computing services and assistance. The main public computing lab is located in the basement.

The older, original section of the library contains the English Department and classrooms, along with the Howard and Edna Hong Kierkegaard Library, the Norwegian-American Historical Association, and the St. Olaf College archives — known as the Shaw-Olson Center for College History.
