Hackley’s whimsical Victorian-era architecture has always contained a number of gargoyles – surprising figures carved in stone and placed here and there in Hackley’s façade. Yet several of our gargoyles were added after Hackley began its second century – carved in the likeness of faculty members who achieved 40 years or more tenure, these new gargoyles honor those who have served Hackley School so long and well.
