  1. Athletics Tour

    A tour for student athletes of Augustana facilities.

    Stops

    1. Carver P.E. Center

      Athletics students will spend much of their time in the Roy J. Carver Center for Physical Education. 

       

      The Carver Center contains a basketball court, wrestling area, and pool, and is used for the majority of physical education courses.

       

    2. Pool

      The Carver Center is home to classes, plus men's and women's swimming and diving.

    3. Softball Field

      Next to the Carver Center, there are practice fields for softball and baseball, as well as a full fledged field for softball games.

    4. Knowlton Outdoor Athletic Complex

      Across the road from the Carver Center, there is the Knowlton Outdoor Athletic Complex, which includes the Charles D. Lindberg Stadium, the Ken Anderson Academic All-American Club and the Players' Plaza, Viking Patio and Overlook.

    5. Lower Tennis Courts

      The lower tennis courts are close by the Carver Center, next to Bergendoff and Evald.

    6. PepsiCo Recreation Center

      Located near the Westerlin and Erickson dorms, PepsiCo houses Intramural sports, student recreation, and campus events. The facility has 40,000 square feet of gym floor, which is encircled by an eight-lane, 200-meter track. 

    7. Thorson-Lucken Field

      The Thorson-Lucken Field is located outside the PepsiCo Center and is home to the soccer and lacrosse teams.

    8. Swanson Stadium and Brunner Field

      Thanks to support from Kim and Donna Brunner and Duane and Cookie Swanson, Brunner Field in the Duane R. Swanson Stadium was completed in March 2004. The stadium features:

      • Seating for 300
      • Berm seating for an additional 250
      • Practice infield
      • Two batting cages
      • Team clubhouse
      • Concessions stand
      • Inning-by-inning scoreboard
      • Press box
      • State-of-the-art playing surface
