    1. Westerlin Residence Halls

      Westerlin Residence Center is Augustana's largest hall, housing 455 male and female students divided among three wings: Jenny Lind, Immanuel, and Westerlin.

       

      It features a fitness center, spacious main lounge and study area, grocery/convenience store and TV area. As the upper-campus residential hub, it offers extended service desk hours starting at noon.

       

      Westerlin is located near PepsiCo Recreation Center and houses primarily first-year students. In addition, Westerlin offers two healthy lifestyle floors for those who prefer to limit their exposure to substance-related behaviors.

    2. Erickson Residence Center

      Erickson Residence Center is an air-conditioned facility housing 350 male and female students in three separate wings. It is located adjacent to Westerlin Residence Center on the upper campus, and close to the Pepsico Recreation Center.

       

      The hall features a spacious main lounge, two laundry rooms and a basement recreation area that includes a large screen TV, pool tables and a full kitchen.

       

      Erickson primarily houses sophomore students.

    3. Duane R. Swanson Commons

      The Duane R. Swanson Commons accommodates sophomore students in two-room suites adjoined by a shared restroom in its east wing. The southwest wing houses juniors in apartment-style units known as transitional living areas (TLAs), offering them an opportunity for a more independent living experience.

       

      Swanson Commons is Augustana's newest residence hall. It opened its doors to 240 residents in August 2006.

    4. Andreen Hall

      Andreen Hall houses 213 male and female students. The hall's first floor has a lobby with a grand piano, a TV lounge and a computer nook.

       

      The basement has a large screen TV, study area, a full kitchen, vending machines and laundry facilities.

       

      Each floor houses between 20-35 first-year students and has its own furnished lounge.

       

      The Andreen Apartments are reserved for upper-class students and offer quad apartments with kitchen facilities.

       

      Andreen Hall offers many traditional as well as innovative programs including Casino Night and the "Hallodreen" haunted house. Andreen Hall is just minutes away from the center of campus and across the street from Lincoln Park.

    5. Seminary Hall

      Seminary Hall has been designated for first-year students who seek a close-knit living environment.

       

      Approximately 80 male and female students reside in two-room triples that can easily be divided into sleep and study/living areas.

       

      The hall features two study lounges, two laundry rooms and a social/TV area in the fourth floor loft.

       

      This building's central location is just minutes away from the library, The Gerber Center for Student Life and various academic buildings in the lower Quad.
