The Ned McWherter Agricultural Complex, named for Tennessee Governor Ned Ray McWherter (1987-1995), includes the West Tennessee Agricultural Pavilion and Stalling Facility. The building, originally constructed in 1984, houses the N.W. “Doc” Robinson Arena, named for the longtime animal science professor and rodeo adviser, and the Wooten Academic Complex, named for John Herbert Wooten. The arena seats about 3,000 people and is home to Tennessee’s only collegiate rodeo team. The women’s equestrian team also holds competitions in the arena.
