    1. Boling University Center

The Boling University Center, constructed in 1965, is named in honor of Ed and Carolyn Boling. Dr. Edward J. Boling was the 17th president of the University of Tennessee, 1970-1988. The original building housed a cafeteria, snack bar, game rooms, bookstore, post office and ballroom. Expansions to the building have allowed renovations to existing facilities and the addition of offices, meeting rooms, and Watkins Auditorium, named in honor of Dr. Phillip Watkins, UTMB alumnus, professor of biology and vice chancellor for student affairs for 36 years (1964-2000).

The facility is the community center of the university, for use by all members of the campus family including students, faculty, staff, and alumni. Currently Boling University Center is also home to the UT Martin Computer Store, Sodexo Dining Services, a student computer lab, and Student Government Association and Student Activities Council offices.
