UT Martin’s Recycling Facility, the former National Guard Armory, was officially opened in November 2008. The campus and the community are encouraged to bring donations of paper, cardboard, aluminum cans, glass bottles, and other recyclable items accepted by the facility. UTM Recycles!, a campus initiative sponsored by various academic and student organizations, regularly holds recycling events to encourage and promote environmental awareness.
