    1. Robert Redford Conservancy for Southern California Sustainability

The Robert Redford Conservancy for Southern California Sustainability is north of the main Pitzer campus. Focused on Pitzer’s core value of environmental sustainability, the Redford Conservancy integrates instruction, research, curriculum development, policy work, and advocacy on regional and national ecological issues.

The Conservancy is on 62 acres of land considered to be one of the last prime alluvial sage scrub ecosystems in inland Southern California. The historically-significant 1930's building, originally an infirmary, was renovated to provide dedicated lecture, laboratory, studio, and meeting spaces.
