The STEPHEN L. GLASS COMMENCEMENT PLAZA is named after founding faculty member Stephen Glass who taught at Pitzer for 47 years. A large tent is erected on the field every May for Commencement. The plaza is also used for events during new student orientation, Family Weekend and Alumni Weekend. The field is affectionately called "The Plains" by students.
