WEST HALL is a four-story building north of Atherton Hall and east of the Grove House. West Hall houses 156 students in double- and single-occupancy rooms. Double-occupancy rooms share an adjoining vanity, bathroom and shower. Single rooms are in suites of four sharing one common room area, bathroom, and shower. Common areas include living rooms, study rooms, and laundry facilities.

The South Commons, facing the center courtyard, houses the demonstration kitchen, faculty apartment and residential staff offices.

The first level of West Hall is home to the Office of Study Abroad and International Programs, Mosbacher/Gartrell Center for Media Experimentation and Activism, and Intercollegiate Media Studies (IMS). The Southwest Asian North African Alliance (SWANAA) is also in West Hall.

West Hall, part of Phase II of the Residential Life Project, opened in August 2012 and was awarded LEED Platinum, USGBC’s highest possible endorsement.
