The Research and Academic Centre – East (RCE) opened its doors in Fall 2011. It houses large lecture halls, state-of-the-art science labs (for our students in the BASc Health Studies program), the Indigenous Circle Room, the Academic Advising Centre, the Dean’s Office and the Brantford Hub, a tech shop on campus.
Outside the building is the RAC Courtyard, a large greenspace with seating for studying and relaxing outside. This building is Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certified, which means that the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of the building follows the standards of the Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI).
