      Market Darling Centre (MDC) is the heart of innovation and design on Laurier’s Brantford campus. This space is home to the Community Innovation Hub, a clean and dirty lab used for building prototypes, a design studio classroom, a user experience testing lab and offices.

      The Community Innovation Hub is a space that provides start-ups with workspace and resources to allow their companies to grow and succeed. Home to LaunchPad at the Brantford campus, The Community Innovation Hub is the go-to place for people who want to make a difference through social innovation and entrepreneurship.

      Interesting facts about Market Darling Centre:

      In 1947, Dominion Grocery Stores occupied this space on the corner of Market Street and Darling Street. In 1978, the building was converted into a branch of the Toronto Dominion Bank. After Toronto Dominion and Canada Trust merged in 2000, the building was renovated by Laurier and opened in September 2005.
