    1. Wilkes Hall

      Exciting plans coming soon! Wilkes Hall, formerly known as Wilkes House Recreation Centre, will be renovated into a new multi-purpose space. More details to come.

      Interesting Facts about the former Wilkes House Gym:

      Wilkes House dates back to 1869 when it was home to Alfred Wilkes and his family, one of the founding families in Brantford.

      At one point, Wilkes House Recreation Centre was the Boys and Girls Club. The club built a gym addition to the building, which is where Wayne Gretzky played ball hockey as a youngster.

      When the building was being renovated, books were found in the walls. These books are now on display in the foyer of the Wilkes House Residence.

       

    2. Post House Residence

      Centrally located on George St., Post House is a co-ed apartment-style residence building that houses 57 students. 

       

      Interesting fact about Post House residence:

      Post House residence was Laurier Brantford's second residence building and opened in 2004. Originally Brantford's Post Office, this building was built in the late 1880s.

       

    3. Grand River Hall (GRH)

      Originally an office building, Grand River Hall (GRH) is home to classrooms, Brantford Games Network Lab, Registrarial Services, Service Laurier and Residential Services.

      There is a medium-sized lecture hall on the main floor, with smaller tutorial rooms in the basement. The basement is also home to the Digital Library and Learning Commons, where you can find our librarians and access computers, work space and even group meeting rooms.

      The top floors are dedicated residence rooms and can accommodate up to 150 students.

      Interesting facts about Grand River Hall:

      Grand River Hall was the first residence of the Brantford campus. Before that, the building was home to the offices of Massey Combines, then the headquarters to the Holstein Association of Canada

       

    4. Expositor Place Residence

      The newest addition to Brantford's residence community is Expositor Place. This co-ed apartment-style residence building houses 213 students. In addition to the residence facilities, Expositor Place also features retail space as well as underground parking.

        

      Interesting fact about the Expositor Place residence: 

      The building gets its name from the newspaper (The Expositor), founded in 1852, which previously used the building for creating, printing and distributing their newspaper in downtown Brantford. 

       

    5. Lucy Marco Place Residence

      Opened in 2006, Lucy Marco Place is located in the West side of campus on Queen St and is only two blocks from the centre of campus. This co-ed apartment-style residence building houses 112 students.
